In early summer 2026, Great Northern\u2019s vision will be fully realized with the opening of our new hotel. The hotel will add 52 new rooms, all delivered in the same uncompromising quality that defines the rest of Great Northern. This expansion allows us to welcome even more guests to Kerteminde \u2014 and to the many experiences that await them here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new hotel will also feature a brand-new event venue, \u201cGallery\u201d \u2013 a multifunctional space for larger gatherings, meetings, and events.
In further addition, the facilities at Great Northern Spa will be naturally expanded with new treatment rooms and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Experience Beyond the Ordinary<\/p>

Throughout the new construction, the goal has been to recreate the same atmosphere and character that guests already experience at Great Northern today. The quality of the materials is carefully carried over into the new building, even as several materials have been replaced with more sustainable alternatives. In general, all visible materials in the project are drawn directly from nature\u2019s own palette \u2014 primarily wood, clay, and natural stone. Every material is selected for its durability and ability to develop a beautiful patina over time, while also being repairable if needed. This focus on maintainability is essential, as it significantly extends the building\u2019s lifespan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
